Crypto Network Guide: Compatibility, Addresses and Confirmations

A coin only arrives if it is sent on a network the receiving wallet supports. On ShadowSwap every coin–network combination is a separate option — USDT on Tron and USDT on Ethereum are different coins — and each network has its own address format, fee coin and number of confirmations before a deposit counts.

Compatibility checker

Pick what you hold and what your receiving wallet accepts. Nothing is sent or saved.

USDT (TRC20) → USDT (ERC20) is not in ShadowSwap's published pair list.

  • USDT on Tron and USDT on Ethereum are different tokens. Sending one to an address that expects the other may not be recoverable.
  • Your receiving wallet needs a Ethereum address (0x followed by 40 hex characters).
  • To move USDT later, that wallet also needs some ETH on Ethereum.
  • Deposits of USDT are credited after 20 confirmations on Tron; expect a few minutes to confirm on Tron + manual payout.
  • Stablecoin-to-stablecoin routes are not listed. You could swap through a non-stablecoin, or ask support first.

Networks ShadowSwap supports

Block times are typical averages. “Credited after” is what ShadowSwap waits for before your deposit counts; the payout is then sent manually.

What is a confirmation, and why does ShadowSwap wait for them?

A transaction gets its first confirmation when it is included in a block; every later block adds one more. The deeper a transaction is buried, the less likely it is to be reversed by a chain reorganisation, so services wait for a set number of confirmations before treating a deposit as final. Solana works differently: ShadowSwap waits until the transaction reaches the “finalized” commitment level.

Your wallet may show a transaction as confirmed after one block. ShadowSwap's status page counts up to its own requirement — for example, a Bitcoin deposit waits for 3 confirmations, about 30 minutes at Bitcoin's average 10-minute block time. Blocks are random, so real waits vary. After that, the payout is sent manually by the team, which adds time that no table can predict.

Example: you send 0.05 ETH on Ethereum. With about 12-second blocks and 12 confirmations, the deposit is usually credited within a few minutes, then the swap moves to “Exchanging” and the team sends your payout.

Same ticker, different networks

These tickers are listed on more than one network. Each line is a separate coin on ShadowSwap; pick the one your wallet actually holds or accepts.

0x addresses look identical on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum One and Base, so the address alone can't tell you the network. Coin guides: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, USD Coin, Solana, Zcash.
