Before you swap ADA to USDC
- Send ADA on Cardano only — your deposit address is generated for Cardano (starts with addr1).
- ADA is also listed on BNB Chain, but this swap only watches Cardano: ADA sent from another network won’t be detected.
- Your wallet adds the Cardano network fee on top of the amount you send, so keep a little extra ADA.
- Cardano adds a block about every 20 seconds and your deposit is credited after 20 confirmations on Cardano, so expect a few minutes to confirm on Cardano + manual payout.
- Send between 20 and 500,000 ADA; the widget won’t create a swap outside this range.
- USDC (ERC20) is a token on Ethereum (contract 0xa0b8…eb48), so you need an address on Ethereum to receive it (0x followed by 40 hex characters).
- USDC is also listed on Tron, BNB Chain, Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum One, Base. This pair pays out on Ethereum only — make sure your wallet or exchange account accepts USDC on Ethereum. Funds sent on a network your wallet doesn't support can be hard or impossible to recover.
- The payout is USDC only. Moving it out of that wallet later costs a network fee paid in ETH, so you will need some ETH on Ethereum too.
Swapping the other way? Deposits of 20–100,000 USDC are credited after 12 confirmations on Ethereum: a few minutes to confirm on Ethereum + manual payout. Use the USDC (ERC20) to ADA exchange page.
Fees and exchange rate
ShadowSwap adds no spread or service fee: the ADA → USDC rate is the ratio of their live USD prices, with USDC valued at exactly $1. Your wallet pays the Cardano fee for the deposit in ADA; the Ethereum network fee for sending your USDC is deducted from the payout. The USDC amount is calculated when you create the swap and saved on your order. See how ShadowSwap fees work.
FAQ: ADA to USDC
A few minutes to confirm on Cardano + manual payout. Your ADA deposit is credited after 20 confirmations on Cardano, where a block is added about every 20 seconds; payouts are not automatic, so the ShadowSwap team then sends your USDC on Ethereum.
On this page, USDC is sent on Ethereum (token contract 0xa0b86991c6218b36c1d19d4a2e9eb0ce3606eb48). You need an address on Ethereum to receive it — 0x followed by 40 hex characters. To move it later, that wallet also needs some ETH.
ShadowSwap does: your ADA goes to a one-time Cardano deposit address that ShadowSwap controls until the team sends your USDC. Check the address, network and amount before you send.
